Regular Season Round 9: MKS DG 2 - Przemysl 62-99

Rather expected game in Dabrowa Gornicza where bottom-ranked MKS DG 2 (0-9) was crushed by twelfth ranked Przemysl (4-5) 99-62 on Sunday. Przemysl dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to MKS DG 2's 42. Przemysl forced 23 MKS DG 2 turnovers. Strangely MKS DG 2 outrebounded Przemysl 47-31 including 19 on the offensive glass. Forward Kacper Walciszewski (199-0) stepped up and scored 27 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and Pawel Strzepek (190-0) chipped in 18 points and 4 assists. Four Przemysl players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was forward Michal Batorski (200-88) with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Radoslaw Chorab (191-0) scored 9 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. MKS DG 2's coach Wojciech Wieczorek gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Przemysl. They moved-up to seventh place in Group C, which they share with 5 other teams. MKS DG 2 lost their ninth game in a row. They still close the standings with nine games lost. Przemysl will face Pogon RS (#10) in Ruda Slaska in the next round. MKS DG 2 will play on the road against the league's leader AZS AWF Mick. (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
