Everything went according to plan when sixth ranked Roma S.Azzurra (6-1) defeated on the road 9th ranked Cuore Napoli (3-5) 73-69 on Sunday. Roma S.Azzurra made 20-of-25 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Cuore Napoli was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Point guard Giovanni Bruni (185-82, agency: Players Group) orchestrated the victory by scoring 23 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Bosnian-Serbian power forward Njegos Visnjic (200-79) contributed with 12 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Five Roma S.Azzurra players scored in double figures. Naturalized Serbian swingman Nemanja Dincic (203-98) replied with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds and power forward Riccardo Malagoli (211-88) added 13 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Cuore Napoli. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Roma S.Azzurra moved-up to second place in B, which they share with Tigers C. Loser Cuore Napoli keeps the ninth position with five games lost. Roma S.Azzurra will face Battipaglia (#16) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Cuore Napoli will play against Valmontone (#13) and hope to win that game and get promotion back to the Serie A2 just one year after relegation.
