Regular Season Round 9: Tarnowskie Gory - Polonia Bytom 73-95

No shocking result in a game when second ranked Polonia Bytom (7-2) outleveled on the road 4th placed Tarnowskie Gory (5-4) 95-73 on Sunday. Emil Podkowinski (194-88) stepped up and scored 24 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and point guard Tomasz Wrobel (186-85) chipped in 29 points. The best for the losing side was forward Grzegorz Zadecki (195-84) with 20 points and 5 rebounds and guard Dawid Weiss (188-88) scored 14 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Polonia Bytom maintains second place in Group C with 7-2 record behind leader Zubry. Newly promoted Tarnowskie Gory keeps the fourth position with four games lost. Polonia Bytom will face Dobrodzien (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Tarnowskie Gory will play against MCKiS Jaworz. (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
