Regular Season Round 9: Breogan - Zaragoza 82-86

Everything went according to plan in Lugo where eighth ranked Zaragoza (5-4) beat 15th ranked Leche Rio Breogan (2-6) 86-82 on Sunday. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. It was a great shooting night for Zaragoza especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. The best player for the winners was FYR Macedonian-American point guard Bo McCalebb (178-85, college: New Orleans) who scored 21 points and 5 rebounds. Canadian guard Johnny Berhanemeskel (188-92, agency: Two Points) chipped in 22 points (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). At the other side the best for losing team was American center Alec Brown (216-92, college: Green Bay) who recorded 11 points and 7 rebounds and Serbian point guard Aleksandar Cvetkovic (188-93, agency: BeoBasket) added 18 points respectively. Four Leche Rio Breogan players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Zaragoza have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Manresa. Leche Rio Breogan lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fifteenth position with six games lost. They share it with Estudiantes. Zaragoza will meet at home Joventut (#8) in the next round. Leche Rio Breogan will play against La ICL Manresa (#6) and hope to secure a win.
