Very predictable result when second ranked Deco (7-1) won against 14th ranked Capo d'Orlando (1-7) in Caserta 83-71 on Sunday. Deco shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 52.0 percentage. Guard Norman Hassan (197-90) orchestrated the victory by scoring 26 points and 5 rebounds. Power forward Niccolo Rinaldi (199-93) contributed with 15 points and 5 assists for the winners. Bosnian point guard Amar Balic (180-96) replied with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists and Walter Gambarotta added 17 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Capo d'Orlando. Four Capo d'Orlando players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Newly promoted Deco maintains second position in B with 7-1 record behind leader Faenza. Loser Capo d'Orlando keeps the fourteenth place with seven games lost. Deco will face Viola RC (#3) in Reggio Calabria in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Capo d'Orlando will play at home against Olimpia Matera (#4) and hope to win that game.
