Very important is a road loss of second ranked Capitanes (10-4) against fourth ranked Correcaminos (7-7) on Sunday night. Visiting Capitanes were defeated by Correcaminos in a tough game in Ciudad Victoria 86-94. Capitanes were plagued by 32 personal fouls down the stretch. International guard Jose-David Estrada (194-94, college: High School, agency: Pro Sports) scored 24 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American guard Kennedy Jones (188-89, college: Arlington Baptist) chipped in 17 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Five Correcaminos players scored in double figures. Dominican guard Rigoberto Mendoza (190-92) responded with 12 points and 7 rebounds and American point guard Carl Jones (180-91, college: St.Joseph's) scored 15 points (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Capitanes' coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Correcaminos have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 7-7 record, which they share with Soles. Capitanes at the other side still keep top place with four games lost. They share the position with Aaguacateros. Correcaminos will again play against league's leader Capitanes in Mexico in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Capitanes will have a break next round.
