Regular Season Round 14: Laguneros - Soles 77-94

Date: November 18, 2018
The game in Torreon was also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Soles (7-7) played at the court of 5th ranked Laguneros (8-6). Soles did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 94-77 on Sunday. Laguneros were plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. American forward Stacy Davis (198-94, college: Pepperdine) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points and 8 rebounds. International guard Luke Martinez (193-90, college: Wyoming, agency: Pro Sports) contributed with 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Jamaican-American guard Akeem Scott (185-83, college: High Point) replied with 21 points and 7 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and American guard Josh Ramirez (198, college: Dominican, CA) added 16 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) in the effort for Laguneros. Five Soles and four Laguneros players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Soles maintains fourth position with 7-7 record, which they share with Correcaminos. Newly promoted Laguneros dropped to the third place with six games lost. Soles will have a break next round. Laguneros will play again at home against Soles and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
