Azpeitia ISB managed to secure a 8-point victory 67-59 on Sunday. It was a good game for forward Iker Salazar (200-93) who led his team to a victory with 8 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists. American guard Jahvaughn Powell (183-96, college: Nicholls St.) contributed with 22 points and 4 steals for the winners. Azpeitia ISB's coach Lorenzo Encinas used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Venezuelan point guard Harold Cazorla (175-91) answered with 10 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals and point guard Bernardo Garcia (183-92) added 13 points in the effort for Fontedoso Carrefour. Azpeitia ISB moved-up to third place in Silver. Loser Fontedoso Carrefour dropped to the eighth position with five games lost. Azpeitia ISB will face Tormes (#11) in Salamanca in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Fontedoso Carrefour will play on the road against Estela in Santander and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
