Regular Season Round 7: Nahariya - Ashdod 86-92

Rather expected game when 10th ranked Ironi Nahariya (2-5) was defeated at home by eighth ranked Maccabi Ashdod (3-3) 92-86. They made 18-of-22 charity shots (81.8 percent) during the game. Maccabi Ashdod forced 19 Ironi Nahariya turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was a very good performance for American-Mexican point guard Paul Stoll (180-85) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 30 points, 11 assists and 6 steals (made all of his nine free throws !!!). American forward Landon Milbourne (201-87, college: Maryland) contributed with 19 points for the winners. International Iftah Ziv (191-95, agency: Avi Zilberman) answered with 18 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and American forward Myke Henry (198-92, college: De Paul) added 22 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Ironi Nahariya. Four Ironi Nahariya players scored in double figures. Maccabi Ashdod moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Hapoel B/S. Ironi Nahariya lost third consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with five games lost. Maccabi Ashdod's next round opponent will be higher ranked Galil Gilboa (#3) in Rosh Pina and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Ironi Nahariya will play on the road against Hapoel Eilat (#5) and hope to win that game.
