Regular Season Round 10: Chalons-Reims - Chalon 91-87

There was a surprise result when thirteenth ranked Chalons-Reims (5-4) beat at home higher ranked Chalon/Saor (6-4) 91-87 on Monday. Chalons-Reims shot 62.3 percent from the field. Chalons-Reims had a 28-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. American-Czech swingman Blake Schilb (201-83, college: Loyola, IL) had a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and American forward Devin Ebanks (206-89, college: W.Virginia) chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American point guard Justin Robinson (174-95, college: Monmouth) responded with 15 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists and Colombian-Spanish power forward Juan Palacios (206-85) scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. Four Chalons-Reims and five Chalon/Saor players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Chalons-Reims moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Nanterre. Loser Chalon/Saor keeps the fourth position with four games lost. Chalons-Reims will face JSF Nanterre (#9) on the road in the next round. Chalon/Saor will play against Pau-Lacq-Orthez (#13) and hope to win that game.
