Regular Season Round 12: Jamtland - Norrkoping 97-89

The game between Top Four teams took place in Ostersund. Third ranked host KFUM Jamtland (10-4) defeated second-best Norrkoping Dolphins (10-3) 97-89. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Norrkoping Dolphins. The hosts trailed by 7 points after three quarters before their 19-12 charge, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great shooting night for KFUM Jamtland especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 60.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was international point guard Adam Ronnqvist (181-90) who scored 30 points and 4 assists (perfect from downtown making all five shots). American power forward RT Guinn (208-81, college: Baylor) chipped in 21 points and 6 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!). Four KFUM Jamtland players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international center Joakim Kjellbom (212-79, college: N.Arizona) who recorded a double-double by scoring 23 points and 15 rebounds and the former international Mikael Lindquist (193-83) added 35 points (!!!) (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) respectively. Norrkoping Dolphins' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. KFUM Jamtland maintains third position with 10-4 record behind leader Sodertalje. Defending champion Norrkoping Dolphins keep the second place with three games lost. KFUM Jamtland will meet BC Lulea (#5) on the road in the next round. Norrkoping Dolphins will play against Boras Basket and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
