Regular Season Round 11: Ura Basket - Pyrinto 83-75

Very important is a road loss of second ranked Tampereen Pyrinto (7-3) against eighth ranked Ura Basket (5-7) on Wednesday night. Visiting Tampereen Pyrinto was defeated by Ura Basket in a tough game in Kaarina 75-83. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Tampereen Pyrinto. The game without a history. Ura Basket led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They brought some defensive toughness making 10 blocks. It was a great evening for American guard Avery Woodson (188-93, college: Butler) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points and 6 rebounds. Senegalese-American power forward Malik Dime (206-92, college: Washington) helped adding 11 points, 18 rebounds and 9 blocks. American power forward Kevin Johnson (201-84, college: Humboldt St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 16 rebounds and the other American import swingman Kenny Manigault (196-91, college: Pikeville) scored 19 points and 5 steals. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Ura Basket have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to sixth place. Tampereen Pyrinto at the other side keeps the second position with three games lost. Ura Basket will play against league's leader Vilpas in Salo in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Tampereen Pyrinto will play at home against Lapuan Korikobrat and hopes to get back on the winning track.
