No shocking result in a game when thirteenth ranked Blue Whales (6-7) crushed 16th ranked Fujian Nanan (2-11) in Chengdu 79-58. Blue Whales made 17-of-20 charity shots (85.0 percent) during the game. Belarusian center Yelena Leuchanka (196-83, college: W.Virginia) fired a double-double by scoring 26 points and 19 rebounds for the winners. Forward Xuetong Zhao (185-94) chipped in 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Qingrong Lin produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 15 rebounds and Caijin Chen added 9 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Blue Whales moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Heilongjiang and Shanghai. Fujian Nanan lost their fifth game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the sixteenth position with 11 games lost. Blue Whales' next round opponent will be higher ranked Sports Lottery (#7) in Penglai and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Fujian Nanan will play at home against Flame (#8) and hope to win that game.
