Leader Inter Bratislava delivered the eighth win on Wednesday night. This time they crushed 7th ranked Handlova (3-7) 85-58. Inter Bratislava looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Lee Skinner (198-92, college: Wofford) who scored 16 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. His fellow American import guard Arik Smith (185-93, college: Cal Lutheran) chipped in 13 points. Four Inter Bratislava players scored in double figures. International center Michal Cekovsky (211-94, college: Maryland, agency: Octagon Europe) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds and Croatian-Bosnian guard Ivan Mikulic (194-91) added 10 points and 5 assists respectively for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Inter Bratislava (8-1) have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place. Handlova lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with seven games lost. They share it with Nova Ves. Inter Bratislava are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Lucenec (#9) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Handlova will play against Prievidza and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
