Union SF outrebounded Sportivo America 49-28 including a 38-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Point guard Emiliano Correa (188-91) orchestrated the victory by scoring 14 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Forward Gaston Marozzi (196-95) contributed with 20 points and 6 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. Union SF's coach Juan Siemienczuck felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Guard Nicolas Dominguez (187-0) answered with 21 points and 4 assists and American forward Sean Morgan (198-94, college: Queens, NC) added 10 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Sportivo America. The victory was the third consecutive win for Union SF. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Villa San Martin and Olimpico Ceres. Sportivo America lost their sixth game in a row. Newly promoted team dropped to the sixth position with seven games lost. Union SF will face Deportivo Norte (#6) in Armstrong in the next round. Sportivo America will play at home against the league's second-placed Barrio Parque and hope to win that game.
