Regular Season Round 13: Liaoning - Wuhan 87-55

Bottom-ranked Wuhan is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their 13th consecutive match to fifteenth ranked Liaoning Hengye (4-9) 87-55. Liaoning Hengye dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Wuhan's 32. They outrebounded Wuhan 48-31 including 19 on the offensive glass. American center Imani Stafford (201-94, college: Texas) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds for the winners and forward Jiamei Liang (182-92) chipped in 20 points and 6 rebounds. Four Liaoning Hengye players scored in double figures. At the losing side American power forward Amber Harris (195-88, college: Xavier) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 15 rebounds and Biao-Biao Han scored 13 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Liaoning Hengye moved-up to fourteenth place. Wuhan lost their thirteenth game in a row. Newly promoted team still closes the standings with 13 games lost. Liaoning Hengye will play against higher ranked Dragons (#11) in Daqing in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Wuhan will play at home against Swordfish (#10) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
