Regular Season Round 7: Bullets - Hawks 104-85

The game between fifth ranked Bullets (5-6) and 7th ranked Illawarra Hawks (4-7) in Brisbane on Thursday ended with biggest points difference. Bullets outscored guests from Gwynneville 104-85. Bullets looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a very good performance for American swingman Lamar Patterson (196-91, college: Pittsburgh, agency: Pensack Sports) who helped to win the game recording 24 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international guard Jason Cadee (186-91) contributed with 15 points and 5 assists for the winners. The former international center AJ Ogilvy (211-88, college: Vanderbilt) answered with 16 points and 7 rebounds and American forward Brian Conklin (201-89, college: St.Louis) added 16 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Illawarra Hawks. Five Bullets and four Illawarra Hawks players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Bullets moved-up to fourth place. Loser Illawarra Hawks dropped to the sixth position with seven games lost. Bullets will face league's second-placed United in Melbourne in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Illawarra Hawks will play on the road against Adelaide 36ers (#5) in Findon and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
