No shocking result in a game when third ranked Leiden (7-1) crushed at home 5th ranked Dutch Windmills (5-4) 91-66 on Thursday. Leiden shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 52.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. International Worthy de-Jong (194-88) nailed a double-double by scoring 13 points, 8 rebounds and 10 assists for the winning side and American point guard Maurice Watson (178-93, college: Creighton) accounted for 18 points and 6 assists. Five Leiden players scored in double figures. American forward Shavon Coleman (196-92, college: LSU, agency: Court Side) came up with 27 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import guard Ryan Richardson (193-95, college: Weber St.) added 12 points and 4 assists respectively for Dutch Windmills in the defeat. Dutch Windmills' coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the third consecutive win for Leiden. They maintain third place with 7-1 record having five points less than leader Zwolle. Dutch Windmills lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team keep the fifth position with four games lost. Leiden will meet at home Weert (#9) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Dutch Windmills will play against Rotterdam (#8) and hope to secure a win.
