We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when fifth ranked ViA 2 (5-6) crushed 4th placed VEF skola (4-6) in Riga 75-52 on Thursday. The game without a history. ViA 2 led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding VEF skola to just 7 points in third quarter. Guard Aleksis Abols (185-0) orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points. Guard Kristofers Septe (188-1) contributed with 15 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four ViA 2 players scored in double figures. Guard Emils Krumins (179-1) answered with 17 points, 7 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals and guard Aleksis Emsins (183-0) added 15 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for VEF skola. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. ViA 2 moved-up to fourth place, which they share with LU/BS Riga. VEF skola at the other side dropped to the fifth position with six games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
