Regular Season Round 7: Sindri - Snaefell 92-41

Bottom-ranked Snaefell (0-7) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 92-41 loss to seventh ranked Sindri (2-6) in on Friday evening. The game without a history. Sindri led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Snaefell to just 7 points in second quarter. Sindri forced 22 Snaefell turnovers and outrebounded them 45-30 including 17 on the offensive glass. It was a great evening for forward Gisli Hallsson (192-99) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds. American-German guard Kenny Fluellen (191-90, college: Paine) helped adding 13 points and 6 rebounds. Fluellen is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Sindri players scored in double figures. At the losing side Isak Baldursson responded with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Runar Ragnarsson (192-93) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. Newly promoted Sindri maintains seventh place with 2-6 record. Loser Snaefell still closes the standings with seven games lost. Sindri will meet at home higher ranked Hottur (#5) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Snaefell will play against Vestri and hopes to get finally their first victory.
