Regular Season Round 18: Yamagata - Kagawa FA 74-83

Date: November 23, 2018
We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when fifth ranked Kagawa FA (6-12) defeated on the road one of their biggest challengers Yamagata (9-10) 83-74 on Friday. It was a great shooting night for Kagawa FA especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 61.5 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. American forward Reginald Warren (204-81, college: W.Florida, agency: Inception Sports) had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import guard Terrance Woodbury (201-87, college: Georgia) chipped in 17 points and 4 assists during the contest. Woodbury is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Kagawa FA players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American-Irish swingman Will Hanley (201-90, college: Bowdoin, agency: Duran International) with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Yoshifumi Nakajima (176-90) scored 14 points and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Kagawa FA have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Ehime OV and Fukushima. Loser Yamagata keeps the fourth position with ten games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
