Regular Season Round 16: Aaguacateros - Lenadores 98-95

A very close game took place in Michoacan between Aaguacateros and Lenadores. Second ranked Aaguacateros (11-4) got a very close home victory over 3rd ranked Lenadores (8-6). Aaguacateros managed to escape with a 3-point win 98-95 on Friday evening. Aaguacateros made 23-of-24 free shots (95.8 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman Glen Rice-Jr (198-91, college: Georgia Tech) who helped to win the game recording 26 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and the former international Noe Alonzo (200-83, college: Grand Canyon) who added 26 points during the contest. At the losing side American-Puerto Rican Javier Mojica (190-84, college: Cent.Conn.St.) responded with 24 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and naturalized Puerto Rican guard Joseph Soto (190-93) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Aaguacateros used an opportunity after Capitanes lost their game and moved up joining them at the top position. Newly promoted Lenadores keep the third place with six games lost. Aaguacateros will again meet at home Lenadores (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Lenadores will have a break next round.
