Regular Season Round 18: San-en - Chiba Jets 66-87

Date: November 23, 2018
Rather predictable result when second ranked Chiba Jets (15-4) rolled over 5th ranked San-en NeoPhoenix (7-12) in Hamamatsu 87-66 on Friday. Chiba Jets forced 20 San-en NeoPhoenix turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a good game for American power forward Josh Duncan (203-86) who led his team to a victory with 27 points and 7 rebounds. Naturalized American forward Michael Parker (202-81, college: Evergreen St.) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals for the winners. American forward Robert Dozier (206-85, college: Memphis) replied with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds and his fellow American import forward William McDonald (206-79, college: Grambling St.) added 14 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for San-en NeoPhoenix. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Chiba Jets have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 15-4 record having just two point less than leader Tochigi Brex. Loser San-en NeoPhoenix keeps the fifth place with 12 games lost. Chiba Jets will have a break next round. San-en NeoPhoenix will play again at home against the league's second-placed Chiba Jets (#2) and hope to win that game.
