Regular Season Round 7: Saint-Chamond - Nantes 74-79

Round 7 most important game was a victory of Nantes over 6th ranked Saint Chamond 79-74 on Friday night. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Portuguese Jeremiah Wilson (205-88, college: Tarleton St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 12 points and 14 rebounds. American guard Jermaine Marshall (193-90, college: Arizona St.) contributed with 16 points and 6 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) for the winners. Five Nantes players scored in double figures. Tunisian Makram Ben-Romdhane (205-89) answered with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 19 rebounds and point guard Mathieu Guichard (187-88) added 13 points in the effort for Saint Chamond. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Nantes have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Nancy and Vichy Clermont. Saint Chamond at the other side keeps the sixth position with three games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Nantes is looking forward to face Aix-Maurienne (#9) in Aix-les-Bains in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Saint Chamond will play on the road against Denain Voltaire and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
