Regular Season Round 7: Lille - Nancy 74-70

Very important is a road loss of second ranked Sluc Nancy (5-2) against fifteenth ranked Lille Metropole (3-4) on Friday night. Visiting Sluc Nancy was defeated by Lille Metropole in a tough game in Lille 70-74. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Sluc Nancy. It was a great evening for American forward Rakeem Buckles (201-90, college: FIU) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds. His fellow American import point guard Maurice Acker (172-87, college: Marquette) helped adding 14 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. At the losing side center Bastien Vautier (210-98) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 17 rebounds and Cameroonian forward Williams Williams (201-97) scored 10 points and 6 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Lille Metropole moved-up to tenth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Sluc Nancy at the other side dropped to the third position with two games lost. They share it with Nantes and Vichy Clermont. Lille Metropole will play against league's leader Entente Orleans 45 on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Sluc Nancy will play against ADA Blois and hopes to get back on the winning track.
