Regular Season Round 13: Norrkoping - Boras 101-63

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Norrkoping. Second ranked Norrkoping Dolphins faced 4th placed Boras Basket. Host Norrkoping Dolphins (11-3) smashed guests from Boras (9-6) 101-63. The game without a history. Norrkoping Dolphins led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Boras Basket's 42. They outrebounded Boras Basket 48-28 including a 33-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Norrkoping Dolphins players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists comparing to just 4 passes made by Boras Basket's players. Boras Basket was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international Mikael Lindquist (193-83) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 7 rebounds. The former international center Joakim Kjellbom (212-79, college: N.Arizona) contributed with 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Five Norrkoping Dolphins players scored in double figures. Norrkoping Dolphins' coach Adnan Chuk felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American point guard Nimrod Hilliard-IV (183-93, college: N.C.Central) answered with 21 points and the other American import guard Marcus Tyus (185-94, college: Omaha) added 16 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Boras Basket. Defending champion maintains second place with 11-3 record behind leader Sodertalje. Boras Basket at the other side dropped to the fifth position with six games lost. Norrkoping Dolphins will play against Wetterbygden (#7) in Huskvarna in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Boras Basket will play at home against BC Lulea and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
