Regular Season Round 11: Pogon Prudnik - Slask Wroclaw 87-80

Very important is a road loss of second ranked Slask (8-2) against eighth ranked Pogon Prudnik (6-5) on Saturday night. Visiting Slask was defeated by Pogon Prudnik in a tough game in Prudnik 80-87. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Slask. Pogon Prudnik made 17-of-22 charity shots (77.3 percent) during the game. It was an exceptional evening for Tomasz Prostak (188-88, agency: Octagon Europe) who led the winners and scored 26 points and 5 rebounds. Guard Jakub Krawczyk (191-91) accounted for 18 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. Four Pogon Prudnik players scored in double figures. Power forward Aleksander Dziewa (205-97, agency: Octagon Europe) came up with 30 points and 9 rebounds (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field) and point guard Norbert Kulon (187-92) added 10 points and 5 assists respectively for Slask in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Pogon Prudnik have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Gornik Walbrzych and GKS Tychy. Slask at the other side keeps the second position with two games lost. Pogon Prudnik will play against GKS Tychy (#8) on the road in the next round. Slask will play against STK Czarni (#9) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
