We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Warszawa where 6th ranked Legia (5-3) was crushed by seventh ranked Anwil (5-3) 103-72 on Saturday. They made 19-of-23 free shots (82.6 percent) during the game. Anwil forced 19 Legia turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Legia's players. The best player for the winners was the former international power forward Szymon Szewczyk (209-82) who scored 21 points and 8 rebounds. International Jaroslaw Zyskowski (203-92, agency: Promotex) chipped in 19 points and 4 assists (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). American swingman Omar Prewitt (201-94, college: William & Mary) produced 23 points and 5 rebounds and swingman Jakub Karolak (196-93, agency: BeoExcell) added 13 points respectively for the hosts. Five Anwil and four Legia players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Anwil have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion moved-up to sixth place, which they share with defeated Legia. Anwil will face Miasto Szkla (#12) in Krosno in the next round where they are favorite.
