Regular Season Round 7: Promitheas - Kymis 94-61

The game with biggest result difference took place in Patras. Local Promitheas (5-2) outscored 13th ranked Kymis (1-6) 94-61 on Saturday night. The game was mostly controlled by Promitheas. Kymis managed to win third quarter 21-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Kymis to just 7 points in first quarter. Promitheas dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Kymis' 32. Promitheas forced 23 Kymis turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 34 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Kymis' players. Worth to mention a quality performance of American power forward Terell Parks (204-91, college: W.Illinois) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds. Petros Geromichalos (203-94) helped adding 21 points and 5 rebounds (perfect from the field making all ten shots !!!). At the losing side American power forward Chris Horton (203-94, college: Austin Peay St.) responded with 13 points, 7 rebounds and 4 blocks and the other American import guard Rod Camphor (191-92, college: SW Oklahoma St., agency: Mansfield and Associates) scored 12 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Promitheas. They maintain fourth place with 5-2 record, which they share with AEK. Kymis lost their sixth game in a row. They dropped to the bottom position with six games lost. They share it with Cretan Kings. Promitheas will meet Ifestos (#7) in the next round. Kymis will play against Holargos (#10) and hope to win that game.
