Regular Season Round 19: Shiga L-Stars - Hitachi SR 78-81

Important game to mention about took place in Shiga. Fourth ranked Hitachi Sunrockers (8-11) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 6th ranked Shiga L-Stars (4-15) 81-78 in the game for the fourth place. Hitachi Sunrockers players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Canadian center Robert Sacre (213-89, college: Gonzaga) who helped to win the game recording 29 points and 9 rebounds. American Ryan Kelly (211-91, college: Duke) contributed with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. Hitachi Sunrockers' coach Geoffrey Katsuhisa allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Nigerian-American power forward Gani Lawal (206-88, college: Georgia Tech, agency: Octagon Europe) answered with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds and American-Israeli center DOr Fischer (211-81, college: W.Virginia) added 13 points and 20 rebounds in the effort for Shiga L-Stars. Four Shiga L-Stars players scored in double figures. Hitachi Sunrockers have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fourth place with 8-11 record, which they share with Osaka Evessa. Shiga L-Stars lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth position with 15 games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Hitachi Sunrockers will play against Osaka Evessa (#4) at home in the next round. Shiga L-Stars will play against San-en NeoPhoenix and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
