Regular Season Round 8: Skrljevo - Sibenik 83-78

An interesting game took place in Skrljevo where higher ranked Sibenik (3-5) was upset on the court of eleventh ranked KK Skrljevo (2-6) 83-78. It looked good early as Sibenik took a 1-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then KK Skrljevo had a 27-20 second period charge getting the lead and Sibenik was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 78-83. American guard Brian Williams (187-92, college: Jacksonville St.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. The other American import guard Ash Yacoubou (193-92, college: St.Louis) contributed with 18 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Swingman Toni Nakic (203-99, agency: BeoBasket) replied with 15 points and 8 rebounds and forward Tonko Vuko (203-94, college: Pacific) added 13 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Sibenik. Four Sibenik players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. KK Skrljevo maintains eleventh position with 2-6 record. Sibenik at the other side dropped to the ninth place with five games lost. KK Skrljevo's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Bosco (#12) in Zagreb.
