Ninth ranked Alkar (4-4) crushed at home 10th ranked Gorica (3-5) by 21 points 85-64, which is the biggest margin this round on Saturday night. The game was mostly controlled by Alkar. Gorica was better in second period 16-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a quality performance of American guard Josh Brown (190-94, college: Temple) who helped to win the game recording 15 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and center Hrvoje Vucic (210-91, college: Walsh) who added 18 points during the contest. Four Alkar players scored in double figures. Point guard Borna Kapusta (182-96) responded with 9 points and Ivan Majcunic (193-96) scored 12 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Alkar moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Zabok and Osijek. Newly promoted Gorica dropped to the ninth position with five games lost. Alkar will face league's leader Cibona in Zagreb in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Gorica will play at home against H.Analitica (#3) and hope to win that game.
