Regular Season Round 11: Los Leones - Osorno 93-87

There was no surprise in Quilpue where 6th ranked Osorno Basquetbol (3-9) was defeated by second ranked Los Leones (8-4) 93-87. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Los Leones players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Dominican power forward Manuel Guzman (204-82, college: Bemidji St.) nailed a double-double by scoring 25 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and American point guard Scott Rodgers (191-87, college: Drexel) accounted for 24 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. American forward Darnell Dodson (201-89, college: S.Mississippi) came up with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds and Brazilian center Dida Pereira (202-92, college: Sequoias CC) added 21 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Osorno Basquetbol in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Los Leones have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with CD Valdivia and Las Animas. Osorno Basquetbol at the other side keeps the sixth place with nine games lost. Los Leones' next round opponent will be league's leader Las Animas in Valdivia and it will be for sure the game of the week. Osorno Basquetbol will play on the road against Universidad Catolica (#6) in Santiago and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
