Regular Season Round 19: Kawasaki BT - Tochigi Brex 75-79

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Kanagawa. First ranked Tochigi Brex faced their biggest opponent Toshiba Thunders. Guests from Tochigi (17-2) defeated host Toshiba Thunders (11-8) 79-75. Tochigi Brex looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a great evening for American forward Ryan Rossiter (204-89, college: Siena) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Jeffrey Gibbs (188-80, college: Otterbein) helped adding 15 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. Tochigi Brex's coach Ryuzo Anzai used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side American power forward Vernon Macklin (208-86, college: Florida) responded with 22 points and 9 rebounds and international power forward Nick Fazekas (211-85, college: Nevada) scored 16 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Toshiba Thunders players scored in double figures. Tochigi Brex have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 17-2 record. Loser Toshiba Thunders keep the second position with eight games lost. They share it with Toyama Grouses and Kyoto Hannar.. Tochigi Brex will meet at home league's leader Ryukyu GK in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Toshiba Thunders will have a break next round.
