Regular Season Round 10: Notec Inowr. - Arka II 79-57

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Inowroclaw. Third ranked Notec Inowr. faced 4th ranked Arka II. Host Notec Inowr. (8-2) smashed guests from Gdynia (6-4) 79-57. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Arka II. 24 personal fouls committed by Arka II helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Damian Szczepanik (198-97) notched a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and center Wojciech Zurawski (202-76) supported him with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Four Notec Inowr. players scored in double figures. Even 14 points and 9 rebounds by forward Maciej Marcinkowski (193-99) did not help to save the game for Arka II. Point guard Mateusz Kaszowski (182-1) added 15 points for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Notec Inowr. have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain third position in Group A with 8-2 record having just two points less than leader Zubry. Arka II at the other side dropped to the fifth place with four games lost. Notec Inowr.'s next round opponent will be Trefl II Sopot (#12) on the road and are hoping to win another game. Arka II will play against Domino Inowr. (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
