Regular Season Round 19: Fukushima - Tokyo HT 86-75

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 6th ranked Tokyo HT's (3-16) road loss to fifth ranked Fukushima (7-12) 75-86 on Saturday. Fukushima outrebounded Tokyo HT 48-23 including a 21-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American center Chris Brady (208-95, college: Monmouth) fired a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Forward Shuhei Muto (192-91) chipped in 19 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Four Fukushima players scored in double figures. Fukushima's coach Tomohiro Moriyama used a ten-player rotation saving starting five for next games. Guard Hiroya Ogane (180-89) produced 35 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 6 assists and swingman Mitsuhiro Kamezaki (189-86) added 16 points respectively for lost side. Fukushima maintains fifth place with 7-12 record. Tokyo HT lost eighth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the sixth position with 16 games lost. Fukushima will face league's second-placed Toyotsu FE in Nagoya in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Tokyo HT's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Tokyo to the arena Tokyo Z.
