Regular Season Round 18: Yamagata - Kagawa FA 79-69

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 5th ranked Kagawa FA's (6-12) road loss to fourth ranked Yamagata (9-10) 69-79 on Saturday. Strangely Kagawa FA outrebounded Yamagata 40-28 including 28 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American-Irish swingman Will Hanley (201-90, college: Bowdoin, agency: Duran International) had a double-double by scoring 18 points, 15 rebounds and 9 assists to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Seiji Kouno (172-89) chipped in 20 points (perfect from downtown making all six shots !!!) during the contest. Four Yamagata players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American forward Reginald Warren (204-81, college: W.Florida, agency: Inception Sports) with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists and his fellow American import guard Terrance Woodbury (201-87, college: Georgia) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. Kagawa FA's coach Kohei Etoh rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Yamagata have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 9-10 record which they share with defeated Kagawa FA. Loser Kagawa FA dropped to the fourth place with 12 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
