Regular Season Round 10: PBB - Culleredo 77-63

There was a minor upset in Porrino where much higher ranked Culleredo (5-2) was defeated by seventh ranked PBB (5-2) 77-63 on Saturday. They made 25-of-31 free shots (80.6 percent) during the game. Victor Alonso (196-94) had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Jorge Cabaleiro chipped in 18 points during the contest. Four PBB players scored in double figures. PBB's coach Jenaro Alonso used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American forward Trevin Woods (198, college: Arkansas Tech) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 14 rebounds and center Mario Cabanas (207-85) scored 11 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. PBB have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place in Group A-B, which they share with Estudiantes L. and Culleredo. PBB will face Estudiantes L. (#5) in Lugo in the next round. Culleredo will play at home against Un.Oviedo and hope to win that game.
