Fifth-ranked Kanazawa Sam. (4-15) gave a tough game to second ranked Kumamoto V. (14-5) in Ishikawa. The visitors from Kumamoto managed to secure only two-point victory 84-82. However their fans expected easier game. American forward Chehales Tapscott (195-90, college: Portland St.) notched a double-double by scoring 32 points and 19 rebounds to lead the effort and point guard Takumi Furuno (179-93) supported him with 16 points and 7 assists. Even a double-double of 28 points and 14 rebounds by American power forward Denzel Bowles (208-89, college: JMU) did not help to save the game for Kanazawa Sam.. Guard Yuuji Ide (181-88) added 15 points and 5 assists. Kumamoto V. have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 14-5 record having just one point less than leader Shinshu BW, which they share with Cyberdyne IR. Kanazawa Sam. lost sixth consecutive game.
