Regular Season Round 11: Limoges - Dijon 54-80

There was no surprise when 9th ranked Limoges (5-6) was crushed at home by fourth ranked Dijon (9-2) 80-54 on Saturday. Dijon dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Limoges' 26. The best player for the winners was guard Damien Archinard (196-98) who scored 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Center Gary Berchel (203-98) chipped in 12 points and 8 rebounds. Four Dijon players scored in double figures. Swingman Mehdi Bellil (193-1) produced 13 points and 7 rebounds and naturalized Burundian center Timothee Bazille (205-99) added 6 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Limoges' coach gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Dijon moved-up to second place, which they share with Gravelines and Bourg. Loser Limoges keeps the ninth position with six games lost. Dijon will face bottom-ranked Levallois (#18) at home in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Limoges will play against Le Mans (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
