Regular Season Round 10: Casvi - Guadalajara 63-50

There was an upset in Villaviciosa where higher ranked CB Guadalajara (7-3) was defeated by eleventh ranked Casvi (4-6) 63-50 on Saturday. American forward Matthew Dahlen (201-95, college: St.Martin's) scored 27 points and 9 rebounds (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and Danish guard Emil Hjorth (196-96) chipped in 9 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Casvi's coach Jose Antonio Sanchez used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American forward Louis Craft (208-90, college: Fayetteville St.) responded with 14 points and guard Santiago Villena (194-94) scored 12 points. Casvi moved-up to ninth place in Group B, which they share with Estudiantes B and Zentro Basket. Loser CB Guadalajara keeps the fourth position with three games lost. Casvi will face Zentro Basket (#9) in Madrid in the next round. CB Guadalajara will play at home against Daimiel (#16) and hope to win that game.
