Regular Season Round 8: Brest - Grodno-93 82-106

The game in Brest supposed to be also quite interesting. Second ranked Grodno-93 (8-1) played at the court of 6th ranked Brest (3-5). Grodno-93 smashed Brest 106-82 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Grodno-93. Brest managed to win fourth quarter 27-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Grodno-93 forced 21 Brest turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Ukrainian point guard Maksim Miroshnichenko (182-96) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 assists and international forward Andrey Navoychik (200-91) who added 16 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Guard Anton Shchurko (188-97) responded with 19 points and 5 assists and power forward Kirill Vinokurov (207-99) scored 7 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Grodno-93 and four Brest players scored in double figures. Brest's coach Alexandr Fedorchyk gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Grodno-93 keeps a position of league leader. Brest lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh place with five games lost. Grodno-93 will meet GOCOR-Sozh (#8) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Brest will play against COR-Borisfen and hope to secure a win.
