Regular Season Round 12: Saint-Quentin - Sorgues BC 86-82

Date: November 24, 2018
Not a big story in a game when 6th ranked Sorgues BC (5-7) lost on the road to second ranked Saint-Quentin (11-1) 86-82 on Saturday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Saint-Quentin made 27-of-32 free shots (84.4 percent) during the game. Sorgues BC was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for American-Jamaican center Ryan Rhoomes (203-92, college: Fordham, agency: Duran International) who led his team to a victory with 25 points and 5 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). Desmond Quincy-Jones (201-85, college: Pace) contributed with 4 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Lithuanian forward Raimundas Danys (198-85, agency: Octagon Europe) replied with 17 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and point guard William Mensah (175-95) added 16 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Sorgues BC. Four Sorgues BC players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Saint-Quentin have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position in Group A with 11-1 record behind leader Souffel. Sorgues BC lost sixth consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth place with seven games lost. Saint-Quentin will face ALS Basket (#8) in Andrezieux in the next round where they are favorite. Sorgues BC will play on the road against Besancon and hope to win that game.
