Regular Season Round 8: Holon - Bnei Hertzeliya 86-78

Very expected game when 8th ranked Bnei Hasharon (2-5) was defeated on the road by second ranked Hapoel Holon (6-2) 86-78. Hapoel Holon forced 19 Bnei Hasharon turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. The game was dominated by American players. Guard Corey Walden (188-92, college: E.Kentucky) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. TJ Cline (206-94, college: Richmond) contributed with 13 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Five Hapoel Holon players scored in double figures. Forward Jeff Adrien (201-86, college: Connecticut) replied with 16 points and 7 rebounds and forward Gabe Levin (201-94, college: Long Beach St.) added 16 points in the effort for Bnei Hasharon. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Hapoel Holon maintains second position with 6-2 record having just one point less than leader Maccabi T-A, which they share with Galil Gilboa. Bnei Hasharon at the other side dropped to the ninth place with five games lost. They share the position with Maccabi Rishon. Hapoel Holon will play against Maccabi Rishon (#10) in Rishon Le-Zion in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Bnei Hasharon will play at home against Galil Gilboa and hopes to get back on the winning track.
