Regular Season Round 14: Tianjin - Guangdong 66-79

WCBA top team - Vermilion Birds (14-0) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat seventeenth ranked Tianjin (1-13) 79-66. Vermilion Birds forced 20 Tianjin turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Center Dilixiati Dilana (192-97) had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and international center Yueru Li (192-99) chipped in 16 points (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) during the contest. Four Vermilion Birds players scored in double figures. Forward Ziqi Han (180-99) responded with 11 points and 9 rebounds and Xiaohua Chen scored 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Vermilion Birds have an impressive 14-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 14-0 record. Tianjin lost seventh consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the seventeenth place with 13 games lost. Vermilion Birds are looking forward to face Hebei (#8) in Hengshui in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Tianjin will play at home against the league's second-placed Bayi Kylin (#2) and is hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.
