Regular Season Round 7: Mursa - Podravac 46-62

Everything could happen in Osijek at the game between two tied teams. Both tenth ranked Podravac and 9th ranked Mursa had identical 1-5 record. But Mursa was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Virje 62-46. The game without a history. Podravac led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Podravac had a 36-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for guard Valentina Simunic (175-98) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. Center Viktorija Curic (185-1) accounted for 18 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side. Ksenija Sarlija (-93) came up with 12 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and point guard Petra Lovric (166-96) added 15 points respectively for Mursa in the defeat. Podravac (2-5) moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Sibenik. Mursa lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team dropped to the tenth position with six games lost. Podravac's next round opponent will be league's second-placed ZKK Medvescak in Zagreb and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Mursa will play on the road against Plamen Pozega (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
