16th ranked Fujian Nanan (2-12) was outscored at home by eighth ranked Flame (9-5) with the biggest margin this round 89-66 on Saturday night. Flame dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Fujian Nanan's 28. They outrebounded Fujian Nanan 42-30 including 33 on the defensive glass. The former international center Wei Wei (206-89) had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and Zixuan Guo (187-97) chipped in 17 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Four Flame players scored in double figures. Yahui Yang responded with 15 points and 8 rebounds and Caijin Chen scored 9 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Flame moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Beijing and Shandong. Fujian Nanan lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the sixteenth position with 12 games lost. Flame will face Blue Whales (#12) in Chengdu in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Fujian Nanan will play at home against Beijing Great Wall (#7) and hope to win that game.
