Important game to mention about took place in Beer Sheva. Fourth ranked Hapoel Jerusalem (5-2) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging 6th ranked Hapoel B/S (3-4) 89-88 on Saturday evening. Hapoel Jerusalem players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Hapoel B/S was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. American forward Tashawn Thomas (203-93, college: Oklahoma, agency: Pensack Sports) saved the victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 19 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Dominican-American James Feldeine (193-88, college: Quinnipiac) contributed with 28 points for the winners. American guard Semaj Christon (190-92, college: Xavier) replied with 31 points and 4 assists and his fellow American import Jakim Donaldson (204-83, college: Edinboro) added 8 points and 18 rebounds in the effort for Hapoel B/S. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Hapoel Jerusalem maintains fourth position with 5-2 record. Newly promoted Hapoel B/S keeps the sixth place with four games lost. They share the position with Maccabi Ashdod. Hapoel Jerusalem will play against Hapoel Tel-Aviv (#8) at home in the next round. Hapoel B/S will play against Ironi Nahariya and hopes to get back on the winning track.
