There was no surprise when 12th ranked Desio (3-6) was defeated at home by fifth ranked Urania Milano (6-3) 83-77 on Sunday. Urania Milano made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Desio was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The former international guard Riccardo Santolamazza (195-83) stepped up and scored 14 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners and forward Andrea Negri (193-88) chipped in 21 points. Four Urania Milano players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was naturalized Dominican guard Daniel Perez (187-97) with 26 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and power forward Giovanni Lenti (200-96) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. Urania Milano have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to third place in B, which they share with Orzinuovi and Ozzano. Desio lost third consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with six games lost. Urania Milano will face Reggio Emilia (#16) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Desio will play against Ozzano (#4) in Ozzano dell Emilia and hope to win that game.
