Regular Season Round 9: Pall. Trapani - Bergamo Bsk 84-90

There was no surprise when 11th ranked Pall. Trapani (4-5) was defeated at home by second ranked Bergamo Bsk (7-2) 90-84 on Sunday. Bergamo Bsk made 20-of-22 free shots (90.9 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American Terrence Roderick (196-88, college: UAB) who had a double-double by scoring 40 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds. His fellow American import point guard Brandon Taylor (178-94, college: Utah) chipped in 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American point guard Rotnei Clarke (183-89, college: Butler, agency: HMS) who recorded 18 points and 6 assists and the former international power forward Andrea Renzi (207-89, agency: Players Group) added 14 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Four Pall. Trapani players scored in double figures. Bergamo Bsk maintains second place in A2 with 7-2 record having just two points less than leader Consultinvest BO. Loser Pall. Trapani dropped to the twelfth position with five games lost. Bergamo Bsk will face Benacquista LT (#8) in Latina in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Pall. Trapani will play on the road against Remer TVG (#13) in Treviglio and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
